A novel procedure conceived by engineers of the
School of Engineering of the Canton of the Valais
makes it possible to do the stirring via the front
hole, without the need to open the cask.

In four to-and-fro movements, taking no more than
twenty seconds, the system puts all the lees back
into suspension.

Once the cask is empty the stirring device can be
withdrawn and used again.

Stirring can be effected nonetheless using your
existing method and equipment (stick, rod, chain…)
and does not require any special handling since
the top bung is accessible from the front of the cask.
